The last few days have been SOOOO RELAXING...all three of our kids have laryngotracheobronchitis, otherwise known as croup. Accompanying symptoms have included vomitting, high fevers (up to 104.7), sleeplessness (duh!), sore throats, runny noses, an ear infection, loss of voice, and the incessant hacking cough that is the signature symptom of croup. We've had three visits to the doctor's office and one trip to the emergency room. Our medicine chest has expanded to include prescription cough suppressant, amoxycillin, augmentin, more children's and infant Tylenol and Motrin, steroids and now zithromax. Why zithromax you ask -- because our oldest has gone from croup to pneumonia. Oh yes, and we had a theology conference at church this past weekend at the exact time that we had water coming in our basement for the first time since we've lived here (5 years). And just to let you know we won't be slacking off anytime soon...I'll be ordained on Sunday October 21st so we have family coming in and need to do all of the routine "getting the house together" things. If you think of it pray for us! Why am I blogging? I needed to take a 5 minute break ;-)
