Yesterday my wife gave birth to our fourth child, a boy. This evens the score -- two boys, two girls. Best comment was from my 3 year old son who said upon meeting his new brother, "Actually, I wanted a big one."

We're giving thanks to the Lord for a smooth delivery and a healthy baby. We've been abundantly blessed.

As a follow up to my last post...Ransom Fellowship's website has some archived copies of Critique magazine (all of the issues from 2000 in PDF files) and several other interesting things to check out.
To give you a better idea of what Critique is all about here is the purpose statement:

Critique is a newsletter designed, by God’s grace, to...

* ...call attention to resources of interest for thinking Christians,
* ...model Christian discernment, and
* ...stimulate believers to think biblically about all of life.

Well, after 18 days of not posting (I just haven't had the time, nor have I been able to muster the motivation to blog) I've come across something that has jolted me out of silence. I found something so blogworthy that I just had to post. Ransom Fellowship, the ministry that publishes Critique magazine, finally has a website up!! I haven't had time to look at their site exhaustively, but if it's half as good as Critique, you'll definitely want to visit it.

The first thing that I read when I receive every Critique is the insightful movie review--Drew Trotter is my favorite reviewer, though I've enjoyed and benefited from Denis Haack's as well. I went to their movie review section, which looks like its still under construction, but there are a few reviews there to whet your appetite. Enjoy!
